What Are We?
The Programming for Very Young Children Interest Group is made up of area Children's Librarians and staff who gather together to discuss everything from Library Babies and Toddler Time to brain development and childhood literacy. Led by Amy Schardein, Early Childhood Specialist and Children's Librarian at Kenton County Public Library, this group meets quarterly at area libraries. We hope to see you at our next meeting!

- Amy Schardein, Early Chilhood Specialist and Children's Librarian at the Kenton County Public Library, and Jill Burkey-Ragase, Juvenile Collection Development Librarian at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, recently presented a wonderful workshop on Tips, Tricks, and Trends for Children's Librarians. This workshop explored new and overlooked treasures for children ages 2-9, and discussed programming ideas for babies, toddlers, and school-aged children. - Training Into Practice Project: The Training into Practice Project works closely with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services Division of Child Care to support the implementation and continuation of the Kentucky Early Childhood Trainer's Credential.
